Kyle interviews Anthony Costello on his journey from Catholicism and nominal religiosity to Evangelical Protestant Christianity. We talk about the events that lead to his current beliefs and some of his criticisms of the Catholic church. Anthony got an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University and an M.A. in theology at Talbot School of Theology.

You could turn this into something like Unbelievable and get Anthony and Adrian on at the same time.
ReplyDeleteIt would be good to have a dialogue on the show at some point.
ReplyDelete"What about the Mormon church???" The way you asked that made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm funneh.
ReplyDeleteAaron and I will need to figure out how to reliabily have more than 2 people at a time recording. The Anchor app seems to mess up when more than 2 people are talking to each other. When Aaron and I interviewed Clinton Wilcox, we had to record several different segments because the call kept getting dropped. I hope my editing hid that fact. I've been using Zoom, but that starts costing money if you have more than 2 people talking for more than 40 minutes.
I just found out yesterday that we're not allowed to call it the Mormon Church anymore. Did you hear about that?
ReplyDeleteIs it just LDS now?
ReplyDeleteNo, LDS is banned, too. You have to say, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." No abbreviations. It has caused quite the buzz around the LDS forums on reddit.
ReplyDeleteIs it because people misspell it as LSD or Moron?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's because the new president/prophet of the LDS Church made a statement the other day saying the Lord impressed upon him the importance of using the name that God had revealed to them, and to stop using words like "Mormon" and LDS. It's all over the news.
ReplyDeleteHere's a thingy about it.
